If I have sole access to a company car, who is responsible for insuring it?

Well Dunn Insurance FAQ - Business Car Insurance , Blog , FAQ , Business Car Insurance

Even if you are the only person who has access to a company car, it is your employer’s responsibility to insure the vehicle, not yours. Whoever owns the vehicle is responsible for insuring it, so if a car is company owned, the company must organise insurance cover.

If you are issued with a company car, your employer should ask to see a copy of your photocard and paper licence in order to ensure that you are legally able to drive and to check your driving history. However, providing this information should be the only thing you have to do.
